Empire State Maple Queen and King Competition

Contestants are currently being accepted for the Empire State Maple Queen and King pageant to be held as part of the January Maple Conference in January. This contest is open to any male or female ages 15 through 21 residing in New York State with an interest in promoting the maple industry. The competition will consist of a private interview, public speaking presentation on a topic related to maple and answering of a spontaneous on stage question. Contestants need not be experienced in the maple industry, but should be willing to learn about the industry and be interested in promoting maple to the general public.

Winners will be crowned as Empire State Maple King and Queen and will have the opportunity to represent the Empire State maple industry at special events, parades and more throughout the year. Winners will each receive a $100 prize as well as a crown, sash and trophy. The contest will be held on Saturday, January 8th 2022 beginning at 9:00 AM during the maple conference at Vernon Downs.
